Questions
Frequently asked questions
What happens at my first visit?
We talk about what you need, the doctor examines you and explains what they propose and what it costs, in writing. You decide whether to start that day. The first visit takes about 45 minutes.
What are the risks of chiropractic care?
Tiredness or sore muscles are common after an adjustment; tell us if they don't go away. In rare cases, neck adjustment has been linked to injuries to the arteries of the neck, although it is not known whether it is the cause. The doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment, and you decide. If you have a sudden, severe headache or neck pain, call 911 or see a physician before coming in.
Will the adjustment hurt?
Most people feel pressure or mild discomfort, not pain. The doctor explains each step before doing it and can change the technique. You can ask them to stop at any time.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the person. The doctor proposes a plan after the exam and reviews it with you at every visit. We don't promise a number of visits.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill some plans. Call or message us with your plan's name before the first visit and we will tell you whether we can bill it. No plan pays for everything, and your plan decides what it pays. See how fees work.
What if I don't use insurance?
You pay at each visit. Before we start, we give you the cost in writing and, if you ask, a good faith estimate. We also give you an itemized receipt you can send to your plan, if you like.
Do I need x-rays?
Not always. X-rays are only taken when medically necessary, and the doctor explains why before ordering them.
Can I bring my child, or come while pregnant?
We see adults. If you are pregnant or want to bring a minor, message or call us before coming: the doctor explains what we do and don't do, and suggests you check with your physician first if needed.
What if I have already seen another provider?
Tell us at the visit and bring what you have, such as notes or test results. Chiropractic care doesn't replace your physician. With your permission, the doctor can contact whoever is treating you.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to change a visit, let us know as early as you can, by WhatsApp or phone. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
